Oh yeah, D! Holiday smells have to be one of the primary kick starters for memory lane...I have been selecting a couple of tunes, always including EMR, when "building" a CD for someone that is being "broken in" to the DEAD. Of course, for me it's easy enough since I stop at end of 71! Not that much to worry about...but that still gives me plenty to work from. Actually, I realize I'd have to have the second boxed set to add in ones from the mid 70s ablums.

As mentioned before I’m sure, the stuff on Workingman’s and Beauty make a swell intro to GD. The Golden Road box is how I first heard stuff from 1966. Watch out for that second one though, Beyond Description – it contains some pretty controversial stuff. :)

Ha! Yes, most certainly...suppose I could get some real mileage out of PoCuca, SBeg, Althea and a few others (as you can see, I use a great many album tunes for the first timers).

Enjoy that bake off!
